Most of our steel world maps are equipped with a special magnetic installation kit. However, there are instances where the use of this install-kit is not really handy due to the specific base on which the map is installed. In such cases, we customise our installation kit to fit the wall or panel where it will be mounted.
For example, one of our clients from London crafted five panels featuring brown and blue hues to serve as the base for their wall decoration. The hotel lobby, where this map was installed, features similar brown tones in its furnishings, allowing the map to blend in harmoniously. Given the unique installation setup, differing from a standard wall installation, we made slight adjustments to the installation kit to better support the larger continents. However, the islands are affixed in the usual manner, using glass magnetic spacers secured with a special gel onto the panel.
The stainless steel world map installed in this hotel lobby has magnetic properties that is used in the installation kit on the backside. It also proves to come in pretty handy when clients wish to mark specific locations using special pin-magnets. In this case, the hotel utilised pin-magnets to mark the locations where the company is active, as indicated by the coloured pins. Companies in this industry often prefer customised epoxy pins featuring their logo or brand colours.
